1. I went down to the reception again, and this time they really did a check up, and realized that there was something wrong and fixed it, and gave me a sincere apology, and free breakfasts.

6. I'd requested a room on a high floor and got one allocated -in fact they allocated a free upgrade and the room was a good size, with a massive hot tub in the bathroom too.

7. The wireless internet access is free and worked well which is a great pleasure for someone who is there from overseas.

8. A 5 minute walk to soho and East village, rooms are a good size for nyc standards (we have a sitting area and 2 large suitcases and we can still move around easily) and free wifi.

9. My pet peaves were all addressed here: plenty of big white towels in the bathroom (not the standard kimpton 2), complimentary wifi (for any hotel more expensive than $100/night, it should always be free), friendly front desk staff.
