1. rare that I need a hotel room in NYC due to friends who livve there, but this was a special weekend and I was bringing my dear friend's daughter who just passed away, into the City for a 'mother/daughter' weekend for some shopping, and just happy times after a tough few months.

10. The concierge (also Irish) gave us a great recommendation for going out of the hotel for a drink as well, and when it poured with rain, the bell-boy was happy to lend us his umbrella.
