1. On Thursday there was a small tea and pretzel reception on the second floor - nothing spectacular, but a nice gesture business travels will appreciate.

2. You do really need to look at the internet charges, they are high and not everyone can travel with a laptop to take advantage of the free wifi in the club lounge, free wifi in the room would be nice too especially when a lot of cheaper hotels in NY offer this.

6. This hotel located at 3rd and 50th street (thus, the name, affinia 50 -- meaning 50th street, to contrast with Manhattan Affinia) is nicely decorated with a modest sized lobby with a wall fountain in its center.

7. The metal cabinets were very old, but we werent looking to buy the place :) The bathroom was too small for two people to get ready at the same time, but was nicely appointed.
