1. While rooms were on the higher end of my budget ($300 a night, tax included), everything else was inexpensive: fabulous breakfast at $10 per person (but they did not charge our children), lunch around $15, and tons of wonderful attention: water when returning from the morning run, free beach towels, free coffee by the pool, and 4pm check-out to accommodate nap time.

3. Even though we spent the NYE night listening to Lady Gaga live at a fabulous night away from the hotel, still my best memory from Miami Beach is the Angler's boutique resort.
