2. That isn't a big deal though because Whalers Village is a 5-10 min c asual walk from the hotel and there are various restaurants there with great happy hour deals, etc.

3. We were unable to be upgraded until after the 2nd night to a better room, as is customary for Gold level SPG members, but when we saw the upgraded room, we decided we were happy where we were with a view of the tennis courts, and mountains in the distance.

7. Upon arrival, we had some issues - crawling into bed at 11:00 pm after checking in, we were not happy to find sand in between the sheets.

10. I'm a SPG Gold member so I'm supposed to get a free upgrade, which last time got me an ocean view room in the newer building on the South side, which I was quite happy with.
