1. I was in a non smoking room on a smoking floor, so the hallway was no that pleasant, but once in the room the odor was not a problem.

5. The Churchill is a pleasant hotel, a 10 minute walk uphill from Dupont Circle metro, and if you get a good deal on the rates, it should satisfy.
