1. Our room was fine (except no one told us it was right next to the railroad tracks.

5. The bathroom tiles and caulking were chipped and peeling, but we did not do much except sleep in our rooms and the beds were comfortable.

6. We walked everywhere and didn't have to drive in DC except to get to the hotel to check in and to leave the hotel at end of stay.

7. I walked EVERYWHERE except the zoo, which was over 3 miles away--took a quick Metro ride to that though (L'Enfant Plaza and Smithsonian Station are both VERY close by).

10. The only negative with the hotel is that because it is in the museum/government district, there really isn't any nightlife to speak of and no real places to eat or hang out in the near vicinity (except for the hotel restaurant).
