1. We had a small issue with the loo upon arrival, it was resolved very quickly and we got a lovely note from the hotel management.

4. Our friends had a different experience - problems with room keys not working, room got assigned to someone else (but quickly corrected), issue with billing.

7. The only tiny issue I had with the hotel was that the thermostat was set to not go below 65 degrees and I am pretty hot natured so this was a little uncomfortable at night when I was sleeping.

8. My daughter was thrilled by the fact that the staff spoke French if you'd like (she speaks French quite well, me quite dreadfully), but there was no issue speaking English.

9. When we had a problem with our room safe (it was locked and it would let us put our code in) they immediately addressed the issue and upgraded us to another room.

10. I am sensitive to exterior street noises and this has never been an issue at Sofitel.
