2. Maintenance wasn't good (chipped paint, carpet worn and shabby, panels hanging open in the elevator, etc), particularly in the public spaces; the pool was dirty (black ring around the tile); the room had a musty odor that never left.

5. Hotel employee Chris Wipert comp'd us a drink and chips in a way to say 'sorry' for not being able to use all the hotels amenities like the water slide.

The carpet was filthy, there were filth marks over the walls and the draperies, we found dead bugs and a live lizard crawling around in our room, we had cracked tile in the bathroom, the sliding screen door to the patio could not even be opened due to the frame and screen being bent and rusted, there was cracked and chipped paint on the underside of the balcony, then to make matters even worse there was a pipe that exploded outside our rooms the next morning flooding the hallway with water .
