The owner over-compensates with overly friendly behavior about taking a snack for breakfast and shopping, but deep down he RUDELY enforces inconsistant rules at a run-down motel.

The owner then RUDELY told them he would charge them a $250 cancellation fee even though they were obviously not cancelling for any reason except that they physically could not get in their room.
