1. I was not happy about getting clipped for leaving under these circumstances but took Steve Job's lesson to heart (life is short), swallowed hard and did not look back.
"You will like this hotel, but I did not have a good experience " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/11/2011 Vote
2. As it happens, my room had several defects -- the HVAC was uncontrollably hot, the sink was very slow draining, the water too soft for me (hardness and pressure) and the carpet was sticky underfoot.
"You will like this hotel, but I did not have a good experience " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/11/2011 Vote
3. The front desk staff (who offered the fact that each also provides 'concierge services') was competent, helpful and hard working.
"A Perfect Mid-Century Remodel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/18/2011 Vote
4. The bathrooms are smallish/narrow, with possibly the most annoying bathroom door I've every seen -- a pocket door that is mirrored, which doesn't lock, and which is hard to get a hold of in its pocket every time you go in or out to close the bathroom door.
"Very lovely except for those small rooms! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/4/2011 Vote
5. We probably prefer that one because of the abundant fine art and attention to detail, but the Modera's location is hard to beat.
"Swanky hotel near the Keller Auditorium " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/4/2011 Vote
6. Modera's website says you can get complimentary passes to the gym around the block which we THOUGHT we'd use and did not but it's just hard to get there when you are so focused on eating at all of the places you're supposed to eat at in Portland.
"Affordable, comfy, vertical garden, fire pits - what's not to like? " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/31/2011 Vote
7. If you have read my previous reviews, you'd know how hard I can be on hotels and I don't give five stars rating to just about anyone.
"Our favorite hotel in Portland " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/19/2011 Vote
8. The makeover of a 50s motel is so complete it is hard to recognize the building's roots.
"What a pleasant surprise " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/19/2011 Vote
9. Check in/out is very simple, especially if you do an advance purchase, the hotel is full of interesting artwork and a great ambiance, and the location is hard to beat.
"Return Visitor for a Reason " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/18/2011 Vote
10. The beautiful courtyard is fantastic --too bad it was raining so hard or we would've taken advantage of it.
"Lush, quiet, ultra-modern gem " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/26/2011 Vote
