4. The only downside to this hotel is that it borders a run down part of downtown Portland where quite a few street people hang out and live.
"A grand hotel with beautiful rooms, service and quality throughout! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/3/2011 Vote
5. Only downside is no free Internet access.

6. The only downside to our room was the street noise as we were facing the street on a busy corner.
"Friendly and fantastic for the family vacation. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/6/2011 Vote
7. There are two downsides in my opinion: (1) pay parking ($18 self park per day with no in/out privileges, or $28 valet with in/out privileges -- not something to look forward to but not atypical for a downtown location), and (2) the subterranean pool and breakfast/reception areas (odd lighting and not very pleasant atmosphere).
"Embassy Suites formula in an historic downtown building " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/7/2010 Vote
8. The downside is that the pool was closed the entire week due to maintenance, which was a bummer, as we always enjoy spending time at the pool/spa in the evenings while we stay in hotels.
"Great location for museums, shopping, dining " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/24/2009 Vote
9. The only downside to my weekend trip was that there were some scary-crazy homeless people downtown on Sunday morning as my sister and I went for a walk and did some shopping.
"The Hotel and Staff are Great, the neighborhood...not as much " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/30/2009 Vote
10. The only 'downside' was that breakfast is held in one of the basement levels and didnt have the light and airy feel that other EB's have.
"What a surprise " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/20/2008 Vote
