1. The only negative thing about this hotel was that there was a very musty smell throughout the corridors the whole time we were there and the room safe is NOT of the combination variety and has a key with a $75 fee if you lose it.

3. There were a few negative reviews about the breakfast but there was always something you could find to eatthe only thing that would have made it better is that there is not a bar etc during the day but hey ho that is the ony thing that i can find to complain about.

9. Reading some of the negative reviews, I can't understand what people expect? My family of 5 just returned from a fortnight plus stay at the Hawthorne.

10. Sure its not the Ritz, but hey do you expect 5 star service for $100 a night? I must say after some of the negative reviews our stay exceeded expectations.
