1. smelled a little musty, but you sort of just got used to it.
"Good Location...Lacking in Service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/28/2011 Vote
2. My only issue with the room was the slight musty smell - but I think its due to the never ending humidity that New Orleans dishes out - I think it just gets into the drapes and carpet.
"LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Bienville House " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/12/2011 Vote
3. Everything linen-wise was very well stocked and me and my friend who stayed with me loved the smell of the bath products.
"Beautiful Boutique Hotel Full of History and a Wonderful Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/9/2011 Vote
4. The room was nice and clean but the carpeting was dirty like some people complained about, but this is an old hotel, and has a well worn feel and even has that 'old antiques smell' and not in a bad way.
"Great Hotel, great location, Great customer service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/16/2011 Vote
5. But out of the 3 rooms, my room had a musky smell, (I dont' know if I got a really old room or what) I don't spend too much time in my room but it wasn't too pleasant.
"Good Enough but not luxury " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/22/2010 Vote
6. Beds/pillows were uncomfortable, floor was very squeaky, room, bathroom, and shower were small, room smelled stale, tv reception was snowy, it was loud from outside noise (ferry horns all day and night) and the 'seating area' in the room was laughable - one of the beds was pressed up against the chairs so you couldn't even get to it.
"Better value found elsewhere " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/7/2010 Vote
7. rooms smell moldy.
"Too loud for any sleep-great if you want to party, not if you need to work " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/16/2009 Vote
8. Drawbacks- minimal, but I did notice several people complaining about the interior rooms, also the hallway leading to the rooms was a bit uneven floors and musty smelling.
"Charming, great location, some minor drawbacks " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/20/2009 Vote
9. ) I felt the room was slightly musty and during August, you don't really want to open too many windows- but no one else in the family noticed any smell.
"Charming, great location, some minor drawbacks " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/20/2009 Vote
10. I immediately started using airfreshner and incense sticks to mask some of the smell.
"Would not stay again - too many other great places at same rates " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/11/2009 Vote
