1. The rooms with the windows are small and poorly appointed - for example, no ventilation system in the windowless bathroom, a counter not fully attached to the cabinet in the bathroom, just really poor workmanship and quality.
"Avoid it. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/27/2011 Vote
2. The room was also pretty dark as the lighting was poor.
"Never Again.. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/13/2011 Vote
3. This hotel fails on so many levels - lack of service, crappy staff with poor attitudes (except for Brian at the front desk), filthy rooms/hallways.
"DO NOT stay here- disappointing, noisy, not at boutique-level " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/9/2011 Vote
4. The hotel is well located only a few minutes walk from Canal Street and the Charles Street tram, but be very careful which room you get because unfortunately, we were given two very poor rooms on the first night, which were not as described on the Hotel website and without 'luxuries' such as curtains.
"Generally nice hotel with some bad rooms - be careful which one you get " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/13/2010 Vote
5. The room service was not available before 7am and was a poor, expensive and limited menu.
"Very Disappointed! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/23/2010 Vote
6. If the owners/management believe that poor, too cool for school service, tarnished furniture, old TV sets and dirty in-room carpets and windows epitomise 'boutique', then I think they should take a long hard look at their European boutique peers and really improve IH's standards significantly.
"Nice lobby, below average rooms. Poor customer service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/23/2010 Vote
7. The lighting was so poor in the bathroom it was impossible to get ready to go out.
"Everything good about this hotel ends in the lobby " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/31/2009 Vote
8. The lighting was very poor in both the bathroom and the sleeping area.
"A clean hotel close to the French Quarter " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/22/2009 Vote
9. No desk in room, lighting is poor.
"Not Impressed " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/9/2008 Vote
10. The only problem is that Canal street has very poor dining options but, again, the French Quarter is very nearby.
"Very satisfied " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/27/2008 Vote
