5. probably if you are like me you will find this review refreshing because is from a different perspective, let me explain:of course for me the hotel (general areas) and room are a very important features BUT, i look for a nice 'bar area' as well, why? because after a very looong day walking and shopping i think we deserve a nice drink to relax, and you know what? the bar in this hotel is very cozy, elegant, great service and with the class usually tourist places in New Orleans lack.

The design of the hotel and the rooms is nice, but the execution in our room was a bit lacking if you looked really closely--the floor under the carpet was uneven, feeling as if there was just plywood stuck on top of the floor in spots, the carpet was pulling up at the transition to the bathroom and near a wall, and there were some flaws with tile installation in the bathroom as well--basically, it seemed as if they paid the designers well but the installers poorly.
