1. We had a room facing the street; little noisy with traffic next morning.

2. Only drawback is rooms on the main floor that face Magazine Street-New Orleans is a lively city all the time and the street was noisy; and the sound barriers were not great.

3. From what I saw, two types of rooms in particular probably can get noisy: (1) interior rooms above the lobby (on any floor), as noise from the lobby area in the evening or especially the morning breakfast time will filter up; and (2) exterior facing rooms on low floors - esp.

6. I guess my only criticism was that it could be a bit noisy from the ground floor where the lounge was but it could only be heard if you were in the sleeper sofa, not in the master room further back.

Location wise this hotel is in walking distance to everything yet far enough away from the noise of The French QuarterI stayed in 2 different rooms, one at the front of the hotel was a little noisy but the one at the rear was great although the internet connection wasn't so good there I was able to log on to another hotels one.

10. Next time I visit New Orleans, I will definitely consider this hotel, though I would request a less-noisy room (and still make sure I had my earplugs.
