1. You can actually feel the springs in the mattress poking you and hear them pop when you shifted your weight on the bed, the toilet seat was wet, the heat in the shower works intermittently, the AC was old and loud (we could not use it as it kept circulating the stink in the room), the TV reception was not clear, there was mildew on the tiles in the bathroom, the wallpaper was peeling, you could hear the toilet in the next guest's room when flushed, need I say more?I left for Bayside and my husband took a walk in the other direction.

3. Paint applied to peeling wall paper, re-plastered walls which have not been smoothed out but painted over, bathrooms that have a yellow/nicotine coloured lamp shade - have I painted a pleasant environment to sleep in? As for the corridors, discarded TVs just blocking the hallways, Fire Exit signs pointing the wrong way or broken, lifts/elevators that are so tatty you do not feel safe in.

8. 00 for room, but when we got in our room there was peeling wallpaper, mold on one wall; rust in toilet and tub, stained carpet, and a gap at the bottom of the door to the outside.
