The people weren't nearly at threatening or
scary
as some of the beggars in the big cities (San Fran/ San Diego).

Venice Beach itself is nice during the day but doesn`t have many places to eat in the evening and to be honest it`s pretty
scary
venturing out after dark (there was a punch-up outside our bedroom window on the second night).

The Candle Cafe which is right across from the hotel was the only place I was willing to walk to from our hotel so I don`t run into any
scary
homeless people.

What else am I paying for? The TV didn`t work, the beds were bad, the room smelt, the service wasn`t good, no towels, and the area was VERY
