1. Anyone who says this place is expensive hasn't looked at the price of other beach hotels in the area (though prices in the winter are a better deal than the summer.

5. One thing I wasn't aware of is just how diverse Venice Beach is - right outside the hotel you've got a few homeless people, though they were very friendly and non-threatening, and then right opposite the hotel there is a super expensive gourmet restaurant (absolutely excellent food by the way.

6. My needs are fairly basic (somewhere to sleep that is clean, close to everything, has a comfy bed, and is not too expensive) and it met all my needs perfectly.

7. Don't know why but we upgraded our room prior to check in and payed for probably the most expensive room in the hotel facing the beach on the 3rd floor.

9. So here is my review:- I was cheated by the front desk over and over- The Hotel is very expensive - Rooms are quite small and, though they look clean, we found cocoroachs on it (one in the bed).
