1. It's a shame they got greedy - Again, if you can find a rate under $100 and you're expecting clean, no-frills, you'll be happy but anything more is a ripoff.

4. I found myself that there was a bus which stopped on the (busy) road almost outside the hotel direct to Santa Monica, shame I had to find this out myself.

5. The rooms have good safes but no fridge (minibar instead) which is a shame but otherwise the rooms are very well equiped and clean.
