1. Our room this time did face the railroad tracks, but the noise was negligible and, except for the railroad tracks, we enjoyed the view toward downtown Houston.

5. There is a new noise ordinance that went into effect during our stay, so they train that passes near the hotel has to be more quite in the future.

7. When I complained the next morning to the front desk, the staff person only suggested that during my next stay there, I should inquire about reserving a room on the opposite side of the hotel from the train tracks if I am bothered by the noise.

10. When we arrived at the front desk and complained that we were not informed of the possibility of consistent train noises throughout the night, the hotel not only did not offer an apology, but attempted to charge us for a full night stay after 5 hours.
