1. unfortunately, even though I am pretty laid back on things, this hotel does not do that.

2. The elevated desk makes no sense, and those stylish Bertoia chairs on it unfortunately are both notoriously uncomfortable and entirely inappropriate for task seating.

3. Even though I stayed there on a Priceline rate, the check-in clerk very nicely accommodated my request for a high-floor king-bed room away from the elevator, and consequently I ended up on one of two of the hotel's Starwood Preferred Guest floors -- which unfortunately appear, here at least, to offer no additional perks such as free newspapers or breakfast or a private lounge area.

4. unfortunately, this hotel could be really nice because the facilities are nice and the rooms are large with most having some sort of view.

5. Another reason I booked this hotel is it has an indoor pool - unfortunately it was closed due to maintenance when I was there.

6. unfortunately the sofa wasn't conducive to working either - so if you plan on working in your room, and assuming all rooms are the same, you may want to consider the Westin on the other side of the Galleria.

7. Most unfortunately, our room did not receive any cleaning service - we had to call at 10 PM to ask to have someone come to tidy the bathroom.
