It appears to be trying to imitate the look of more
expensive
, five-star hotels, but the materials used are cheap and the guest rooms in particular are not refurbished well at all.

$13 is pretty
expensive
to park your car for a night, it really should be complimentary.

We booked this hotel because it was much less
expensive
than any other hotels in downtown Charlotte.

We did get a substantial discount, but I still wouldn't stay here again - not when there are so many hotels in this area that are less
expensive
and nicer.

I would like to see additional amenities in the room paticular for the longer term stay guest-no fridge or microwave in room so it was more
expensive
to eat out all the time.

I later learned from a Charlotte resident that local cabs are notoriously
expensive
in the area, and she was not surprised when she heard my story.

On the up side, the hotel was located in beautiful downtown Charlotte and was not very
expensive
so if you plan on being out (not spending much time in the hotel) and need to be located close to downtown then this may not be an OK option.
