1. The only downside was the pool was not open yet even though it was late June and 90+ degrees outside.

2. The meeting rooms are really beautiful and historic - the only downside (which is really not much of a problem - depending on your group) that you have to walk to a different building via a hallway on the 5th floor.

3. If there were any downsides, it was that the showerhead could use an update (my husband was especially unhappy about it) and we ended up stuck in the parking garage for about 45 minutes while we waited to get out in rush hour traffic in addition to the traffic letting out from the game--nothing the hotel could do about that.
