While I realize that very few people go to Vegas with the thought they are going to work out while they are there, ( middle America is truly scary), this hotel has an outstanding workout facility complete with Free Motion weight machines, free weights and a considerable amount of cardio equipment including my favorite, a Step Mill which you never see outside of a health club, except at the old Palmer House in Chicago, Rather than watch football in a crowded casino, I did so while working out in an empty (besides me) workout center.

3. Its not super scary, but there is road construction, some sort of construction site, a lot of traffic, and many questionable people that you cross paths with.

4. Just a tip re cabs, get the number of the driver if you have any issues, we heard scary stories of people being overcharged for regular cab faresThe hotel is an oasis of calm within the madness and insanity that is all about Las Vegas.

6. Walking over to 7/11 seemed a bit scary, but there is a gas station/sub shop across Flamingo that is a safer walk.
