Also a word about travelling on public transport, we travelled on a bus from Fisherman's Wharf to the Civic Centre at about 3pm on the afternoon of Thursday the 26th January and were unfortunate enough to be at the Galileo Academy of Science & Technology when it was boarded by a large number of girls or should I say young ladies from the school.

3. On arrival the entrance to the hotel and the foyer are amazing I am lead to understand that it has recently had a renovation, unfortunately that has not made it to some of the rooms.

6. Front desk service was, unfortunately, not so good: we asked for a cab to a local restaurant (some of us were in 4-inch heels) and the man who took our call actually said "are you kidding me? It's three blocks away.

8. many homeless in area which made walking to union cable car quite intimidating but none of these unfortunate people asked more than once before leaving you alone,the city obviously has a serious problem with homeless people estimated at about 12,000 with many suffering mental health problems.
