5. Only thing I would say is avoid walking around the Tenderloin with a camera around your neck and you'll be fine.

6. It's right on the edge of an area tourists might like to avoid, but on the other edge is everything interesting (Market Street shops, concert and opera halls, farmers' markets, public transport).

7. I would recommend people avoid this hotel if possible especially if you don't book through Holiday Inn or another site where you are not able to cancel your reservation if you wanted to.

9. We had to book this hotel on the road so we couldn`t do any looking up of reviews or anything, but once we were there and began looking things up, we find that this is one section of town that it is suggested tourists avoid, especially at night.

10. If you can't deal with walking by some homeless people, why are you in a city at all? You can't avoid it, it's part of life.
