1. During the day they are more annoying than dangerous but at night there is the risk of being mugged if you're not careful.

8. This definitely isn`t a place to stay if you if you get spooked by seedy neighborhoods, as it`s right on the edge of the Tenderloin - but the area is also well lit and right off of Market, and doesn`t actually feel dangerous, just unsavory.

10. Hotel Metropolis is NOT located in Union Square, but on the corner of Turk & Mason which borderlines the Tenderloin district, one of the most, if not the most, dangerous areas in San Francisco.
