During the day they are more annoying than
dangerous
but at night there is the risk of being mugged if you're not careful.

The hotel was good in every way, but does not makes up for the
danger

The street was just plagged with homeless that although they do not seem extremely
dangerous
, were kind of mad and shouting and talking to you.

This definitely isn`t a place to stay if you if you get spooked by seedy neighborhoods, as it`s right on the edge of the Tenderloin - but the area is also well lit and right off of Market, and doesn`t actually feel
dangerous
, just unsavory.

The hotel is adorable, but the neighborhood is
dangerous
and the bed in the room was a brick with a sheet on it.

Hotel Metropolis is NOT located in Union Square, but on the corner of Turk & Mason which borderlines the Tenderloin district, one of the most, if not the most,
dangerous
areas in San Francisco.
