3. I don't recommend going to Market street visa Taylor bad homeless population; although to avoid that go up O'Farrol and hit Powell and down Powell.

4. We liked Moulin Cafe or Honey Honey House Cafe for breakfast, Lori's Diner for dinner, and I definitely recommend avoiding all the chain and fast food restaurants.

5. I would recommend staying here, expect a good value, just avoid getting a room at the front of the hotel if you mind the sound of cars at night.

6. It is perfectly located in downtown close to transportation, parking is expensive as expected of the city so I avoided renting a car.

7. As requested we were given a rooms towards the back of the hotel ( to avoid street noise)Only complaint I could make was regarding the heating.

8. Please note: There are a lot of homeless people & panhandlers in the area & some reviewers & even the hotel will tell you to go left when exiting the hotel instead of right to avoid being harassed.

9. It is one block too far into a seedy area for walking toward Market Steet to be a comfortable experience anytime of the day or night, but if you go the other direction and loop around and down to Powell to get back to Market, you can avoid the worst of it and walk in a nice area.
