1. San Fran is an expensive city to stay in, but we wanted to be safe and we were a little scared of staying anywhere near the more sketchy places ( a lot of the hotels near union square come with their own bums and I wouldn't want to be coming home in the dark to them), so staying in nob hill felt safer.

2. Only negative point to this place was the price of the parking (we didnt use the car in SF either) the price of parking is expensive all over this city so its not exactly a dig at the hotel, the car was parked and brought round to the front for us which was very handy, all in all a great place to stay.
"Road Trip! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/23/2012 Vote
3. Between the cigarette burns on the ancient carpet, the kitchen straight out of the 70s without any utensils (so the kitchen was completely useless), the old, uncomfortable mattress and the old everything, we were disgusted, especially since it was also our most expensive hotel on the three week trip.

4. not that it was particularly inexpensive, at a little under $200 a night, it was still more expensive then most of the wonderful hotels we stayed at, at regular price on the same trip.
