1. I loved the Embarcadero location, just a block from the Ferry Building and near many top-notch restaurants--an area perfect for foodies, and with none of the tackiness so prevalent in Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf.

2. It was poorly lit, rusty water stains on tacky drop ceiling, crappy old mattress dressed up in a nice duvet, a small dark closet in the corner that was honestly scary.
