4. The San Francisco Ritz is located within a short walk of shopping and wonderful restaurants although after a long day of shopping you might want to opt for a cab back to the hotel is walking is an issue for you as the Ritz is atop a hill with a long approach that can be tough if you're tired.

It was everything I'd anticipated: great location (smack dab in between Union Square & Chinatown - a 5-minute walk to either; but beware, the Ritz is on a big hill, if you have issues with some climbing); well-appointed rooms (king bed, sumptuous duvet & linens, marble in the bathroom); exceptional service.
