1. It calls itself 'The Avenue' and the 'Crowne Plaza' sign is difficult to see making it hard to find if you aren't aware.
"very comfortable and excellent location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/2/2012 Vote
2. The living area and bedroom had separate climate controls, but I found that it was difficult to maintain a consistent temperature even with the doors closed between the rooms (woke up several times during the night either hot or cold).
"Great stay " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/6/2012 Vote
3. We heard them during the day, which didn't bother us, but also during the night, making it difficult to sleep.
"Heart of the Action & the Noise " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/17/2011 Vote
4. The air conditioning unit was loud and clicked on and off all night, making it difficult to sleep, and sirens from a nearby hospital emergency room were disturbing too.
"Needs an Update " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/4/2010 Vote
5. The thermostat was difficult to use too.

6. So I found sleeping really difficult, which is a shame as the bed was lovely and comfortable, with pillows to die for.

8. Located one block from Michigan Avenue, two blocks from Macy`s and the Water Tower area, and within easy walking distance from several TA recommended restaurants, this hotel is difficult to critique just now since the lobby, many rooms, and exercise area are literally construction zones (lobby has four kiosks for check-in/congierge and construction plastic covering one wall).
"Undergoing renovation; still okay " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/3/2008 Vote
9. We didn't rent a car because parking all over Chicago is costly and difficult, but we were able to walk everywhere or take taxis.
"We'll stay here again! " Read full review on YahooTravel   10/2/2005 Vote
