1. Rooms spacious, comfortable but a bit old with a musty feel (although there is no musty smell)Food in hotel very expensive as is parking for hotel guests ($44).

2. The non-smoking room, and the hallway leading to the room smelled like smoke, numerous room furniture items were in need of repair or they were extremely worn, the bathroom sink dripped, the carpet was stained in places as was the couch and desk chair, and the TVs were probably 10 years old with remote batteries needing replacement.

5. Our small suite was nice, not overly large, especially the apartment sized tub, but everything working, smelling clean or not at all (no mold), sheets impeccable, no sounds from anywhere did we hear, street, other room, hallway.

8. It would seem an establishment of the Fairmont`s stature could afford to completely renovate the room to rid it of the smoky smell permanently and replace the upholstery and carpet.

9. On my most recent trip, it appeared that the lobby carpeting and furniture had been replaced, and because smoking is no longer allowed the smell is completely fresh.
