1. Minor cons: Forgotten newspaper, flooded lava rock shower, seashell waiter forgot spicy stuff on side, lack of organized nightly activites in that great amphitheater or nightly music somewhere.

2. I never found the options to be lacking.

3. The one reservation is that, aside from the Beach Tree restaurant, we found the variety and quality of the food available to be surprisingly a bit lacking.

7. What it is lacking though is the peaceful feeling of being in paradise and when you are paying $800 and up a night it is not worth it.
"Construction does change the atmosphere here! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/26/2009 Vote
8. If it weren't for the construction and the lack of price reductions or credits due to it, I would have given it a 5 star.
"If you want the best on the Big Island, stay here. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/22/2009 Vote
9. However the absolute lack of service without any acknowldgement needed to be noted.

10. We had an ocean view second floor room (Room 2810 right by the 18th hole, so we lacked the open air shower, but I didn't think we were going to use that anyway, so it wasn't a big loss).
"Heaven on Earth. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/27/2008 Vote
