1. Wow, it is very difficult to review a place as fabulous as this resort.
"We thought it was unreal the first time. It was even better this trip!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/25/2011 Vote
2. A long beach fronts the entire resort, so there's plenty of sand, but the reef is shallow, and the lava shoreline makes entry into and out of the ocean difficult right in front of the property, you have to walk about 10 minutes to the south end of the property to get to a proper long beach with good swimming (Kukio Bay).
"My 20th+ stay at Hualalai and it just keeps getting better " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/4/2011 Vote
3. No one went in the ocean, there is little beach to speak of since the coastline is black lava rock which is sharp and difficult to navigate without injury.

4. It was very difficult to leave the tranquility of this resort.

6. The golf course is in pretty good shape, very scenic, and not too difficult.
"Disregard the negative reviews about construction from uptight people " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/27/2009 Vote
7. The ocean views were amazing; bring an extra sleeve of balls---volcanic rock is incredibly difficult to find a miss-hit ball in and you don't really want to be crawling around in it because it's so jagged anyway.
"Great resort, again, especially after the crowd leave " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/18/2009 Vote
8. Found service at the reception and room bookings to be very difficult.
"Week Long stay: mixed feelings, second time staying " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/3/2008 Vote
9. They claim a difficult time to sell the rooms, yet during my stay the hotel was at near 100% occupancy.
