1. If you do elect to stay: ask for the Fernando Tower-it's renovated and 'feels' newer and cleaner, unfortunately however the lack luster housekeeping will still be a part of your experience.

4. I also received coupons for drinks at the happy hour from 5:30-7:00, which is a very nice gesture of the hotel manager, but unfortunately I was not able to use those because of my own schedule.

5. The downside of a downtown location was the noise, unfortunately, sitting in the living area you can hear the road noise fairly easily, but inside the bedroom it can't be heard without strain.

8. unfortunately the rooms are not directly on the river, but the hotel is right around the corner from several restaurants in a quite part of the riverwalk and there is access from within the lobby.
