However, against these good points must be weighed the horribly noisy air-conditioning, the worlds oldest elevator, dirty carpets on all corridors, bedrooms that were well past their best (although a reasonable size and clean) and a breakfast that consisted only of the cheapest, stickiest danish pastries and pretty basic coffee and orange juice.

2. Our room was on the garden side, right next to the outdoor bar and restaurant, and although somewhat noisy, it had quieted down by 11:00 pm.

5. A/C is provided via a wall unit, and while a tad noisy the way those machines are, the sound can be soothing, and it keeps the room nicely cool on hot Miami days.

10. The standard of the hotel is not the newest, so the windows are old and the traffic can easily become noisy in the rooms, the bathrooms are a bit small and not modern, but in general are these not the most important points.
