1. The only downsides were the lift only goes to level 17 so lugging stuff up stairs was a bit tedious and the air conditioning system of next door's building was right outside the bedroom balcony doors, which we had to keep shut at night to keep out the noise.

2. Very hard to believe, as we eventually (after talking with another manager and several hours wait) moved into another room which was on another side of the building and the noise level was remarkably different.

6. noises from the street below never bothered us but we knew going in we were staying in Waikiki which is essentially like staying in the downtown of any major city so if you need silence to sleep, you might want to go with a different location altogether like Maui or Kauai.

7. We read reviews on this hotel before we left, and to be honest, we were a little worried about some reviews mentioning uncleanliness, noise and long elevator wait times.

8. Regarding noise, there was one occaision when we heard noise from the unit beside us, and it was minor.
