1. The room and hotel in general were very clean and for the most part quiet (hint: try to get a higher level room to avoid noises from the street and pool/bar areas).

2. all prices for tours in oahu are the same (AVOID the street tour vendors), however u can save some $$ if u use smaller shuttle companies to shuttle u to waikele outlets ie $10- return and to the swap meet $9- return, the public busses are cheaper but take ages, also u can use the small shuttles to get to pearl harbour and arizona memorial.

3. (sometimes you have to wait a bit for the lift but its all good) The hotel also has many handy ramps for people that have mobility requirementsthe staff are very helpful and there is a expedia desk in the hotel and a timeshare desk as well (avoid the time share desk)+ unlimited free trolley rides to alamoana shopping centre (very handy) and trolley stop is in front of the hoteli purchased a simple mobile pre paid sim $22sim + $40credit for unlimited internet, calls and text in the US + $5- bonus international call credit on my cell wich worked great, got it from alamoana shopping centre at a small cart stand.

4. Bathroom small and the shower was so tiny you want to avoid if you're claustrophobic.

5. The only thing I would make sure you totally avoid is besides the activity desk is another desk with a lady or man in a light blue with dark blue flower shirts, On the sign on the desk it says maps and information well yes you can get maps and information but the next minute they are trying to get you to go to a timeshare seminar saying they will give you a $100 voucher if you do.

6. We asked for a high up room to avoid the noise from the nightclub on the ground floor and also away from the noise of the pub/nightclub by the pool on level 2.

7. We stayed here for 10 days on nov/dec 2010 although therooms arent great athe standard of cleanliness was passable, the rooms are basic,not ideal for families or those with kids or only complaint was the veiw from our roon it looked on to a car park and in honesty if its a room with a veiw your looking for avoid this hotel because there is no veiw from any of the rooms.

8. However, the bars and restaurants on Kuhio are probably best avoided if you're over the age of 21, although Denny's across the street from the front of the Ohana is good for breakfast.

9. The only downside was the cranky older man at the bell station-very unfriendly--we only dealt with him once & then avoided him from then on.
