1. It appears that the hotel has undergone some renovation, And even though the contractors who painted the walls and layed the carpet did a terrible job (Carpet not stretched correctly is buckled and trim and tile not taped is a little paint splattered-to be fair this is not the fault of the hotel) I enjoyed this place and will probably stay here if and when I come back to Miami.

3. Well, nothing happened, and I tried the dryer again the next night, got it to work and it was making a terrible noise and electric smell.

4. In the defense of the people working at the front desk, they were very polite and apologetic, and they seem terribly overworked - but they are also not very knowledgeable or prepared to handle taking care of the entire hotel themselves.
