1. Although it's nice not to have a dingy bedspread that rarely gets washed, I'm used to sleeping with heavier blankets, so this was hard to get used to at first.
"Nice stay for a great price. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/3/2012 Vote
2. Friday night I went to the hard Rock to see C.
"Nice spacious room " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/23/2012 Vote
3. The bed I had recently was hard as a rock and you could feel the springs with every move.
"El Cortez - No Thank you! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/6/2012 Vote
4. While the Golden Nugget is the downtown jewel with its Old Vegas Rat Pack glitz and polish (and many great beers on the house, even for slot players), the El Cortez is now homebase for us - they have the best comps/rates, loosest machines, and a hard-to-describe but ultracool time-warping ambience of old Vegas gangster hangout, rehab-over-replace, seasoned friendly staff, and great inexpensive food in their 24-hour restaurant (featuring Chinese entrees in the evenings).
"Less Pomp and Gouge, More Substance and Comp " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/29/2011 Vote
5. a paltry $500 in my case but still hard earned money.
"o.k it is not a four star hotel more like two star but for the price and the adventure it can't be beat. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/14/2011 Vote
6. I agree with others on here that the slots appear to be looser than other hotels we have stayed at in recent years and the blackjack pays 3:2 but in our experience quite hard to beat the dealer/house.
"Housekeeping services left something to be desired. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/22/2011 Vote
7. But whatever the reason, the result is very hard to get clean.
"Very old, spatious room, but you can't take a shower " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/4/2011 Vote
8. The casino has most of the tables you want too, single deck bj, pai-gow, 3 card poker, baccarat, 2 craps tables ( I don't remember the craps tables ever being $3 tables but they were not ever more than $5) 2 roulette tables (they were hot all weekend which is hard to believe I would think) The crowd there is colorful meaning, locals and downtown employees that get off work and they come to the El Cortez to gamble and unwind.
"You won't be dissappointed, " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/27/2011 Vote
9. If you are a single man stay here and not have to worry about blowing your hard earned cash here.
"Hey you come to Vegas to party and gamble not hang out in your room! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/25/2011 Vote
10. Sink is a pain in the *** because the water is pretty hard not to make it splash out of of the tiny stylish sink bowl they have.
"Good Hotel but was decieved by the photo's about what room really was. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/14/2010 Vote
