1. My wife and I have stayed at KS as first choice almost always because it is very inexpensive, the rooms are always clean (though the hallways are musty smelling), and because the staff are so friendly; it's almost like having a family away from home.

3. The furniture and carpet and bathroom are certainly more 'vintage' looking, and the towels are admittedly thin and not the luxourious ones found in some hotels, but everything we have seen has been clean and smelled fine.
