1. Every shower we took was, at worst, comfortably warm (if not hot) and, while we didn't try ballroom dancing in the bathroom, it did not present any problems for us doing the things that people normally do in a bathroom.

7. In previous years the only problems were hiding food from cockroaches; antiquated AC is so loud from neighbors you can't sleep, and loud rude people act as if no one else is staying there too.

9. Only drawbacks are that it is not updated (if you care), the roosters/chickens beg form you if you try to eat on the lanai (which is probably true most places in Kauai - just get a 2nd floor room if you want to eat outside), and the bed are great for people with bad backs but are fine if you dont have a back problem.

10. The nightdesk person was only helpful in getting me a can of Raid (my suggestion) to deal with the problem.
