1. The shelf in the shower is slanted, presumably so water doesn't pool on it, but the unfortunate consequence is that toiletries have a tendancy to slide right off the shelf and onto the shower floor.

2. My bags unfortunately did not make it with me on my trip so the hotel immediately offered me a free dob kit that would provide me with all of my toiletry needs.

3. ( Seriously ) unfortunately I will not always be able to afford the Palomar, ( Our company has $$ Limitations ) but when I can, I will pick this first.

4. unfortunately our experiences were negative aside from the Saltbox restaurant ( in separate review), which we enjoyed immensely.

5. unfortunately, the weather was not the best so we were not able to enjoy the rooftop pool and bar lounge but the hotel location is ideal if you would enjoy going to the many restaurants, bars and pubs in the Gaslamp District.

7. unfortunately, I came down with flu-like symptoms and EVERYONE from security, to front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant staff were so helpful and courteous and just downright sweet.

9. My room was made up beautifully, though the only disappointment was I went down to the front desk and asked if my room could be made up by lunchtime as I had visitors coming, unfortunately that didn't happen.
