There is a band of jagged
rock
s about 5-10 yards out that are hard to walk on so we only visited the beach for swimming when the tide we up.

The pool is resurfaced and is a nice grey color, which gives the pool a distinctive look, matching the

The beach was very nice and swimmable, but the sand is
rock
y where you swim, so I would recommend water/swim shoes to swim at the beach, as my feet took a while to get used to the

s while swimming.

My niece fell and cut her knees on the
rock
s because you just cant take a step without stepping on one.

We went to Maui and stayed at the Sheraton Black
rock
right after the visti at the Grand Waikikian and really noticed what a difference the hotel and staff at the Grand Waikikian made.
