1. I am sure that this is a temporary problem but if you plan a visit soon, it would be a good idea to check on the status of the renovations.

2. The first two days there was no hot water in the hotel, some boiler problem and we felt the management did not properly respond to our concerns so we moved to the New Otani which was approximately half the cost.

3. The problem is that there aren't enough seats to accommodate all guests and opens only at 7 am so you either book in advance or you will queue for a loooong time.

4. The first problem is that this hotel is somewhat away from Waikiki so you really need a car to get around.

5. Also the rooms are very nice but very small , but after all you're in Hawaii , how much time do you plan on hanging out in your room? I should also mention that this is a Japanese owned property and the headquarters are in Japan- should you encounter a problem - you are out of luck.

8. My only problem with the stay was the poor service we received on check-in, when we tried to confirm that we were getting a king or queen.

9. Apparently this is a growing problem in ALL hotels though, so I can't blame the staff or house keeping services as they went above and beyond to do their job.
