1. The New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel is a medium-rise, dated, sleepy, limited-service, unglamorous hotel that is set on a beautiful beach on the quiet, Diamond Head end of the Waikiki strip -- and it is enchanting.

2. However, the hotel itself feels tired and dated.

3. The location and proce for this hotel (summer rate of 190/night) seemed like a good price, but I stayed in the section overlooking the park with microwave and fridge and it was definitely dated.

4. This hotel is very small and dated, but it is beachfront property at an extremely low price (atleast tha'st what I paid).

5. But, still we had an amazing view of the ocean, so who spends their time staring at the dated wallpaper anyway?Last time I commented about how quiet my room was.

7. The rooms were dated, and I am not talking 1990's more like the 1970's which I would have no issue with except I found the bed to be rather uncomfortable and the rooms to be very small.
"Not my cup of Tea " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/16/2010 Vote
8. Obviously, the pictures for the internet were tweeked again to make it look a little more up to date than actual.
"Great hotel, some quirks, but overall good value " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/13/2010 Vote
9. We had a pre-renovation room and it was a bit worn and dated (not to mention small), but still clean and quite comfortable.
"Renovations in process but still recommended " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/26/2010 Vote
10. just a small space on either side of the king-size bed), and the hotel was definitely dated, but we loved the location, as it was a good 10-15 minute walk from the hustle bustle of Waikiki.
