1. Meanwhile, the owners are pouring money into a cosmetic face-lift for the hotel -- high-fashion sinks in the bathrooms, etc, while ignoring the basics like up-to-date AC in the rooms and new elevators.

2. They let us look at 2 more and we decided on the room with more dated carpet, dust/dirt hanging from the ceiling, A/C with wire hanging out on the floor, furniture that was dusty, I coud go on but why.

3. The 1st room they gave us the A/C was in pieces on the floor, carpet was dated with stains, room smelled old, they hadn't dusted or really washed walls in a while.
